Sometimes you have to head to the bathroom! Here is Squish based on my series of octopi that I do called Squishies. Tim and I got the idea to paint the shower curtain in our daughter's bathroom and for an hour we put everything on hold and did just that! We closed the doors and got to work. Leila could barely contain herself having to wait for the big reveal. I painted while my faithful assistant/hubby held the curtain this way and that and blow-dried the finished sections to speed up the process. It was so worth all the happy girl squeals when we finally let Leila in to meet her new occupant! She LOVES him. We love him. He makes my heart happy whenever I see him! It's amazing the difference an hour can make when you give it over to creativity!
I have always had a special love for tulips...even the name tu-lips is romantic. These beauties that my husband gave me for Valentine's Day are unfolding and making me long for Spring time. Their fiery yellows and oranges warm my heart whenever I look at them, even though my toes are freezing and this Winter seems like it is going to last forever.
I may have been neglecting the blog a bit, but I have been exercising my creativity. Here are a few pages from a traveling art journal that is circulating through my Artist's Way group. I have been wanting to try more mixed media/graffiti journaling, and this was the perfect chance. So much fun!
