Jamie asks, "What Dreams are You Wishing for?"
I am always amazed at how appropriate her wish prompts are.
Not long ago, I noticed that it had been some time since I could remember any of my dreams. Well, the past few days I have had some CRAZY (yes, all caps!) nightmares. The unexplainable kind that make you wonder, "Why did I dream THAT?" I'm talking monster demons driving classic cars, car chases, a plump Japanese geisha woman with lifeless eyes walking down an alley, super-strength iguana lizards with razor sharp teeth, a cobra-like snake body chopped in half. OMG. These have woken me up, scared the bejeezus out of me, made me think that something was hiding under the bed ready to grab my ankle.
Always the optimist, as I could no longer go back to sleep, I lay awake pondering my future as a horror screenwriter. The only problem is that I would NEVER be able to see the movies I wrote.
So, then Jamie comes along and asks "What dreams are you wishing for?" Well, quite literally, I was wishing for just a plain old "good dream". The kind that you wake up from and just feel good and happy and wish you could crawl back into, that you could somehow hang onto. The kind that is not "disturbing" in the slightest. Please.
Well, I got my wish! Guess what I dreamed...
I had the most marvelous dream about....
SHOE SHOPPING!!
Yes, I am also dreaming of a wonderfully successful, travel-the-world, teach workshops ART CAREER, but I am also dreaming for the lucious, chunky, black velvet, platform shoes from my dream last night!
Also, for those who read my blogpost a couple of weeks ago about my sign FOR God...well, here it is. I took some time wondering what sign I would make, and all that kept coming to me was simply gratitude!

Also, for those who read my blogpost a couple of weeks ago about my sign FOR God...well, here it is. I took some time wondering what sign I would make, and all that kept coming to me was simply gratitude!
It reads:
THANK GOD
...for my wonderful life.
Thank you for my child's laugh, for my husband's smile,
for my friend's embrace.
Thank you for every triumph, sweetened by struggle.
Thank you for every day I stand at the sea
and every night I look up in awe at the moon.
Thank you for every quiet moment spent
writing and reading and thinking.
Thank you for my creative spirit, my imagination,
and my unending desire to
MAKE ART.
Thank you for filling my heart with...
Love and Gratitude
